Before you begin: Add to bowl and wash beans 3 times each. Soak beans in cold water overnight on the counter.
Ingredients
- 1 Pound Black Beans (dried beans)
- 1/4 Cup of Olive Oil
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- Onion
- Green Onion
- Red, Yellow, Green Bell Peppers
- Garlic
- Rotel Tomatoes
- Black Pepper
- Cayenne Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Italian Seasoning
- Paprika
- Ground Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
Directions
- Clean and soak Black Beans
- Cook with 3 cups of water per pound, medium heat
- Use 1/4 cup oil, defoam
- Boil 30 to 35 minutes, until beans begin to soften
- As beans soften, add 1/2 cup butter
- Saute onions, bell peppers and garlic
- Add to beans
- Add Rotel tomatoes
- Add seasonings
- Cook until lightly creamed
